The biggest mistake being made by the most important person.

Title: The biggest mistake is being made by the most important person.

Subtitle: In a public position it’s crucial to be loving and truthful.

William Stoertz, April 17, 2024

Rev. Lee Ki-seong, the head of the Hyojeong Cheonji Cheonbo Cheon Shim Won, is doubtless the most important person in the world, and directly under True Parents.

I will outline in following a crucial error he is making, and point out the right way.

I’ve mentioned this point before; he is very sensitive and responsive to Heavenly Parent; but on this issue there is no change; rather he keeps hammering away at it.

I. Why Lee Ki-seong is the most important person in the world beside True Parents.

In a presidential election or U.N. General Assembly he would not be elected at present. But he is the central person in the forefront of enacting the spearhead of what’s necessary to realize True Parents’ dream. God works through Father, Father indwells True Mother, and Rev. Lee Ki-seong, the Chairman of Cheon Shim Won at the HJ CheonBo Heaven-and-Earth Training Center at CheongPyeong, is both enacting True Mother’s vision in the core position and also receives direct messages from True Father.

True Mother in her famous Letter shortly after True Father’s Ascension in 2012 spoke of being alone in a sandstorm where she could hardly open her eyes, searching for a needle in the vast desert. Just recently this year (2024) Mother said she finally found the needles she was looking for in the young 2nd and 3rd generation members who have been revived and guided to stand in the forefront through the Cheon Shim Won spiritual training program.

This work led by him is resurrecting and breathing new life into our Unification Church (Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community, Family Federation for Unification and World Peace). Moreover, it offers the greatest hope for uniting North and South Korea as the central nation for establishing the Heavenly Unified World (Kingdom of Heaven).

Rev. Lee was chosen and appointed by True Mother to take charge of CheongPyeong in 2018. In the beginning only one or two, eventually eight wizened elders joined him at the Cheong Shim Won Prayer Hall (now renamed “Cheon Shim Won”) for nightly prayer vigils called “HJ Cheonji Cheonbo Cheon Shim Won Special Cheorya Jungsung.” Now, persevering through the difficult corona pandemic when people couldn’t go out up to now, now fifteen thousand people are participating worldwide in every continent.

This work is bringing new hope, revival, resurrection, and providential direction not only to our own members, and inspiring our dormant 2nd gen, but Christians as well. It is finally the Great Revival and Spiritual Works that we knew must happen and hoped for.

These are of course words of great praise and commendation. At the same time, given his importance, it is also vital that he keep his direction, spirit, heart, truth, leadership, and style oriented and attuned to what God wants to see in His ideal kingdom on earth.

II. Heavenly Parent’s Ideal Vision as Conveyed by True Father and Jesus Christ.

Jesus spoke a lot about life in the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. His original purpose and vision was to realize the ideal dream of Heavenly Father right here in this world. As True Mother continually emphasizes, the most essential matter would be the appearance of the Only Begotten Daughter and they would fulfill “The Marriage of the Lamb” and establish True Parents, the first true ancestors to give rebirth and new life to all humanity.

The Christian and Buddhist churches uphold celibacy and asceticism as the highest way of devotion to God and service to the world. However, this is an error caused by the failure at the time of the Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ to meet and marry the Only Begotten Daughter. Even Jewish faithful point out this problem as the reason they can’t view Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah. To this day priests and monks do not marry.

The central structure of God’s ideal as taught by True Father in Divine Principle is the Four Position Foundation, consisting of the Shimjeong Center (God, the Origin), Subject and Object, and Union (resultant, outcome, fruit)—all in loving mutuality, i.e. “give-and-receive action”. God’s ideal is expressed in His Blessing to Adam and Eve: “Be fruitful and multiply and take dominion of all creation.” This is worked out in the succession of three four-position foundations: 1. The individual mind and body uniting centered on God; 2. Husband and wife uniting in God’s love, producing children and forming an ideal family; and 3. Ideal human beings take wholesome stewardship of the natural world to realize the ideal world. These are “The Three Great Blessings” we know.

There are a number of details in fulfilling the Three Great Blessings which we need to know and be careful about. The process requires seasoned maturity, time, and a very high standard of heart, care, and attention. Jesus summarized the attitude we must have in His “Two Great Commandments”: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength; and love your neighbor as you love yourself—including even your enemies. That is a high calling indeed, one which we have yet to live up to.

What kind of center? Who is God? How can we know Him? In fact, at the very outset God is introduced “in the image of God—male and female.” Are these equal? What does this mean, if God has both? If our knowledge of God is sub-standard, then our actions and relations and the world we build will likewise fall short of His ideal vision, hope and dream. What is God’s own center? Principle, heart, love, power, detached scientific indifference, or existential nothingness as some insist?

What are “subject” and “object”? The very words in each language and how we use them reflects our mentality and culture. What is their relationship? This may be expressed in various ways: control, subjugation, exploitation, discipline, cooperation, obedience, service, attendance, subservient, sacrificial, total investment, harmony, love, balance, mutuality, sharing, oneness… We see all these types of relationships in society today, in families, school, friendships, love.

Returning now to the Four Position Foundation, I will move to True Father’s highest expression of that ideal for the family in perfection, which he reiterated and elaborated with great passion, enthusiasm, love and detail in many talks to American members at Belvedere between 1986 and 1996 when True Parents proclaimed “Absolute Sex.”

Here I convey concisely the diagram Father drew on the blackboard at that time:

Patently, this is a standard diagram of the Four Position Foundation for the couple uniting in love. First of all, it is a process proceeding through time. This time envelope can be interpreted variously. It can be from the time they first start becoming acquainted (often through our Church Matching Website, supported by parents and church leaders, and sometimes through their own mutual acquaintance). Or it may mean the course of their “First Love” when they first consummate their marriage. But most likely, it is the whole process leading on through some considerable time in their marital relationship, supposing that they may not become truly one with each other and one with God in that first moment. We know through experience that “love grows.”

Moreover, the Four Position Foundation of the family only reaches full fruition in the “Four Great Realms of Heart and Three Great Kingships” once we become grandparents and even our grandchildren begin the four-position foundation themselves. It may cover a very long time period, even decades. We see even with True Family that this is a process that takes time. Father proclaimed Mother’s Perfection and Attainment in 1992, and True Mother herself expressed that she reached fulfillment once she had restored seven nations and the African continent in 2019. And, if we speak of the “Royal Kingship Realm” (True Mother proclaimed “Wang Omma” early in 2023), we have yet to see the substantial restoration of a nation (particularly Heavenly Unified Korea) when True Parents can stand as the actual King and Queen.

The nature of the Four Position Foundation, and of perfection itself, is that the ultimate standard of fulfillment is never actually attained; there is always more to reach. Outdoors in the night sky we see millions of stars and galaxies waiting for us to explore and populate. We are just beginning now. Our beginning must be right.

Back to the point True Father was making in his latter years as he spoke to us freely: The couple become One with God as they become One as Man and Woman. This is a simple enough statement, but the implicit contents are immensely complex and deep. Again, who is God? God started out as a dreaded being to be feared for his deadly power. That may not even have been God, but angels assigned to keep unruly humans in line. Moses brought God’s reasonable Words and Commandments. Jesus knew God as our Father in Heaven. St. Paul elaborated the Christian life and St. John ventured in 1 John 3:2 – “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” So even the disciples and the saints were instructed that there is more to come. Now we have True Parents. The Divine Principle itself teaches that humans are to become one with God as the temple of God. Jesus Himself was the incarnation of God, and said, “Don’t you know that the Father is in Me and I in Him? If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.” He was such a person Himself, even not having attained the Holy Marriage, yet He is God’s Only Begotten Son, as True Mother reminded us last night.

III. The Position and Mission of the Cheon Shim Won.

Each of the assertions or expressions above has implications for how we conduct the Cheon Shim Won, and education, revival, family life, social relations, and life in general in our organization—especially because this is the central core for the thrust of our work to realize the substantial Cheon Il Guk.

Rev. Lee Ki-seong stated recently that Cheon Shim Won will be the eternal center for the Cheon Il Guk, the place and institution through which God through True Father will eternally be enabled to convey His word, direction, vision, heart, guidance, and principle to humankind.

Cheon Shim Won has first and foremost an educational function. It is raising up people (almost exclusively members at present, but gradually welcoming “outside” people including Christian and Buddhist pastors, government officials, and visitors who just happened by). As an educational institution, we receive newcomers who know next to nothing about our church and God, also 2nd gens who in the main have become disillusioned and disappointed about our movement and their family life, hurt in school by relationships with others, and even at the brink of suicide. These people need fundamental care and inspiration. It is partly in special attention to them that Rev. Lee Ki-seong practices the style for which he is well known. And it is these very strayed youngsters who have given True Mother the greatest hope and comfort, as the “needles I was looking for and have finally found, the salt and light of the world!”

At the same time, the entirety of parents’ love is experienced by children even from the womb, and even from the young couple’s foundation, attitude, heart, love, maturity, and relationship leading up to conception of a new life. That’s why our church is so serious to prepare Blessing candidates well before starting families. And we see, in the suffering and agony of our children, how very deficient we have been in that regard.

Thus, not only in the advanced stages of growth, but right from the very beginning, how a couple meet each other and upon what foundation, with what preparation, is very sensitive and important. Obviously the carefree secular way of happenstance, casual love without responsibility is not working well. But we need to look upon ourselves too, for we are also falling way short, perhaps for unavoidable reasons, such as the exigency of a fast-forward-moving providence.

But Cheon Shim Won is the needed medicine, education, and revival for ailing people, a sick society, and even a troubled organization. We don’t want to be critical and negative, but we do have to reflect ourselves and make sure our direction and spirit is right, including the public statements we make asserting our standard of truth.

IV. The Providence for the Heaven-and-Earth Blessed Couples.

Now back to the Four Position Foundation. Around us is an increasing number of Heaven-and-Earth Blessed Couples. In some cases the earthly spouse who couldn’t get married was Blessed with a saint or a spirit in the afterworld. But more often these are couples where one spouse has ascended. Now actually I myself have a Heaven-and-Earth Blessing (with a young Russian member who was Blessed but never started family, and then died in an accident). So I can speak from first-hand knowledge.

How do you describe that situation? Your spouse passed away, perhaps in your youth before you really experienced the fullness of life and love together. In such cases we occasionally have a “Comfort Blessing” where the earthly spouse, being young and active, can be given a husband or wife from another couple that likewise endured early tragedy in a similar way. One example is Linda Shapiro, blessed with Lee Shapiro, who later was killed in Afghanistan by the Soviets. She was accorded a Comfort Blessing with Frank Zochol, whose wife Mary-Lou Zochol died of cancer following childbirth. Now Linda and Frank are very happy together; she is a fine mother for Frank’s children. In her apartment in Moscow, we saw portraits of Lee all over the place. We know she loved him, yet from afar. Now, in this kind of case, you ought never to ask them, “Who will you be with in spirit world?” That would be a very heartless and unkind thing to bring up. It’s a question that should not be asked.

At the same time, this points out the nature of the Heaven-and-Earth Blessing and our love relationship. Do we love each other? Yes! Very much! Will be seeing each other in spiritual world? Of course! We hope and expect so. Then what about our earthly relationship? I have my wife Fujiko-san, and we love each other, but in a different sort of way. We are both way past our childbearing years and for seven years we have no sexual intimacy. Why is that? There are many reasons, as follows: 1. From the beginning, she said, “You are not my husband; I have an internal husband.” Even now, if I say, “I am your husband,” she retorts, “No, you aren’t!” It’s a very cruel thing to say and hurt me deeply. 2. Thus she needs me (as a spouse) only to have children, and that time has passed. This is like the Catholic tradition where the only purpose of marital love is to give birth to children; couples should refrain from it otherwise. Of course in our Church we disagree. 3. When I received the Heaven-and-Earth Blessing with Polina Lepyoshkina, she took the attitude of John-the-Baptist: “I must decrease and you must increase.” Rather she should stand with me, realizing the situation from the perspective of faith and heart. 4. She says I smell bad. Women smell fragrant; men smell musky. 5. She doesn’t believe I am faithful to True God, but rather my fictitious “kusemono”. So she doesn’t believe or trust the revelations from God, True Father, and now Satan that I receive. 6. In conversations with other Japanese sisters, she is mentioning that I am “gay”. I’m not in fact; I have normal sexual desire and attraction toward women, and no interest in men. 7. She repeatedly imposed 40-day conditions for example if we had an argument and I shouted (never physical violence), she wouldn’t let me touch her for forty days. Then she tempted me on the 40th day to make me angry, and I failed, so we had to do another forty days separation. 8. I felt sexual unfulfillment, but would absolutely never compromise our purity. So instead I had to internalize “Woman” by wearing a bra and lingerie instead. Then Fujiko-san accused me of such impropriety, discovered my women’s clothes which I tried to hide, and got angry at me. Meanwhile she did nothing to try to ease my frustration nor to even to give me hope. Then she made me do three 40-day no-bra conditions. Again, I failed each one on the 40th day, and finally she said, “It’s too late.” I didn’t even ask any more questions. That kind of miserable, hopeless situation.

This points out the true nature of the ideal husband-and-wife relationship. In the secular world, people think it’s mainly a physical thing (but even in that case, they know it is also from the heart, soul, and mind). In fact, in God’s ideal, God comes down to Adam and dwells in his mind, so that Adam and God become One. Meanwhile, the Holy Spirit, which really is the feminine aspect of God, comes down to Eve and indwells her, so that Eve (True Mother, Only Begotten Daughter) becomes the Substantial Holy Spirit.

Then man and woman (Adam and Eve) become One in horizontal, sexual union (love). At the same time, God in Adam (man) loves Eve (the woman) as His wife. Simultaneously, the Holy Spirit (Mother God, spiritual Woman) makes union with Adam, so that Adam is not only loving Eve physically but it is a wholesome spiritual-and-physical union. This is complete, wholesome, full-dimensional sex. (Our feeling of pure love, as a young man, for the woman we fall in love with, is like the feeling that she is truly the Holy Spirit, like that)

True Father and also Dr. Sang Hun Lee spoke of this at length, saying that, in the marital union, it is not just a relationship of two, but in fact there are eight different relationship vectors.

Also, another very important point here is that not only do man and woman unite consummating their marital union, but also Father-God and Mother-God marry for the first time in cosmic history when the Only Begotten Son and Only Begotten Daughter meet and consummate the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb.”

Another intriguing and a bit troublesome point is the question: Is God only God for Adam (Christ, True Father) as they become One? Isn’t God personal and intimate for each person (at least in the perfection realm in God’s direct dominion)? The trouble here is that, centered on True Parents, we may easily say, “Oh, that only applies to True Parents. We have to go to God through True Parents only.” That is the position of Rev. Lee Ki-seong, which is heretical. God is accessible not only through True Parents but also personally. His position is like that of fundamental Christians who insist we can only reach God through Jesus Christ. Is that right? Principle does not affirm that position.

Now another mistake we can make here is by saying, “Oh, nobody’s perfect. Only in our third or even seventh generation, finally our descendants will be able to reach perfection, become one with God, and enter God’s direct dominion.” I know that position is wrong; I myself am One With God and in God’s Direct Dominion. I’m in the perfection realm, but perfection isn’t a line that you cross, but a field where you constantly become better, bigger, broader, more beautiful in heart, wise in relationships.

That’s why, in this point, first, I want to commend Rev. Lee Ki-seong as the first leader who has publicly announced the Direct Dominion of God as accessible to members—but that only through Cheon Shim Won. In fact, it’s broader than that.

Admittedly the position of Christians on Jesus Christ as the only doorway and mediator to God has an element of truth, comparable to our fundamental position regarding the realm of Shimjeong in relationship to True Parents. We principally uphold the standpoint that the realm of heart (Shimjeong) is through the four position foundation of love in the Blessed Family centered on God and True Parents.

However, once we have that family relationship with God and True Parents in the Holy Community, both our Shimjeong connects directly with God our Heavenly Parent, and horizontally our Hyojeong love should reach out, extending to all people in the world. Thus, the people of the world can receive God’s love, connect to True Parents and the Blessing through us, and enter the realm of Shimjeong in their own family four position foundation. In this way the Kingdom of Heaven is opened to all people as God’s children.

This is what is missing in the standard-model husband-wife and generally “boy-girl” thing—which is more centered on outward, physical, fashion, hairstyle, cosmetics, wealth, status, prestige, class than God or spirit. So the man-woman relationship in general (and even in our Church) is not completely the ideal of God-and-man in Oneness. Something is missing. (In our church our actual attitude in these matters is more one of formalism.)

This is in fact one major impetus or aggravating factor leading to the prevalence of LGBTQ as an “alternate lifestyle” or “modern sex”.

Now, in this back-and-forth, in-and-out, circuitous course, as is the way of Love as it is woven into the fabric of the real world in all sorts of ways—I will return to the central core subject matter of this treatise: The Four Position Foundation in the Heaven-and-Earth Union. I’m a person who’s in that realm. In fact, our family established the Cornerstone for the Heaven-and-Earth Unification and the East-West Unification on the Global and Cosmic Levels.

Love in the Heaven-and-Earth Union. Man and woman unite sexually. In standard love, this is a physical and spiritual (heartistic, emotional, affectionate, mental) holistic union. So what about Heaven-and-Earth love? Even the Divine Principle mentions “there are records of earthly people leading married life with a spirit.” I am such a person. In the vertical love towards Heaven (God, a spirit, etc.), there is always and necessarily some horizontal component, were it as a reflection, a catalyst, an anchor, or a base for the spiritual side which is like a kite, an antenna, a lightning rod, or a GPS connection to its satellite.

For example, the earthly spouse keeps photos and memorabilia of his/her beloved partner, the dearly departed. It is not merely a mental reminder or a tab in a notebook; it is real, substantial, full-fleshed! I see the memories of Polina Lepyoshkina. We talk. I ask her questions. I see her in the sky. She guides me to her friends. She taught me Russian. Even my politics changed when she came into my life. I understand why she really gave her life, and it was not just an accident. We’re very important for the continuing friendship of the Russian and American people—and now Koreans and Japanese too! She guided me to the Russian scientists who also discovered the Unified Field Theory. This is no flash in the pan! This is important and vital. She is in close touch with Heung Jin Nim. So criticize and deny us all you care. The saints gave their lives.

Now why would I wear a bra and lingerie? I have to. Even on the last day of the 40-day condition, I had to break that stipulation, because it was wrong to impose that on us. We “time-share.” From the very beginning, I became her body, her physical vehicle. She is serving vital providential purposes. Dae Mo Nim tried to liberate her from me and couldn’t. Why? Because it was not God’s Will for her to liberate the central spirit who was assigned by God directly to work with me in the capacity of a Blessed Couple. No one, not even God or Church leaders, can break or violate a Blessed Couple (unless the couple lets them). Frankly, now I’m speaking with anger, because those things were done to us.

V. My Origin, Identity, Mission, and Position.

At this point I wish to make an assertion or qualification: Who am I? What gives me any right or basis to expound on such a sensitive and important issue as the leadership of Rev. Lee Ki-seong and the fundamental, deep position, underpinnings, and ultimate destiny of Divine Principle and the Kingdom of God?

The first point is that I am One With God, in God’s Direct Dominion of Shimjeong. Now Lee Ki-seong has been stating that the only way to attain this is through the Cheon Shim Won. Let’s put it this way: The Kingdom of Heaven is a bootstrap operation. No one is perfect and ideal, yet we have to lift ourselves up to that standard. Each of us has a Conscience and Original Mind that connects to God. God can call upon and guide any person. Even though we may not be perfect, we can still detect the higher standard of life, behavior, truth, heart, and perfection. As an example, the man on the street could not build an airplane, but he knows if it takes him to his destination smoothly, safely, on time, service with a smile! We know perfection when we see it.

Moreover, there is also Satan, who knows the Principle and the standard of perfection better than any of us—yet isn’t he the one who was for millennia the Lord of Evil? Yet even he knows perfection, and is ready to point out any flaws we make.

This raises the question: “Why are there enemies or enmity in God’s world?” Everything was designed and made by God in order to realize His dream and vision for Himself, His partners, human beings, and all things. That God and all creation would be happy. But now we see crime, exploitation, abuse of human rights, environmental destruction, waste, oppression of women and minorities, poverty, starvation, suffering, natural disasters, conflicts, and war.

The reason is because someone created an imbalance and refuses to correct it. God has dual characteristics, consisting of contrasting purposes, etc. These may contrast with each other, but they can coexist and cooperate in balance. One of the fine arts of life and management is to establish and manage such a balance.

Then a leader rises up to champion the cause of the oppressed, of women, or nature. He/she appeals to the powers-that-be to redress the grievances, but they ignore or kill him. The underdog organizes to form resistance to the Establishment.

Examples abound all around us: Colonization brought exploitation to Africa. Dismissing Russia over the centuries has led to the Ukraine crisis. LGBTQ arises from neglect and overbearing in the family. Divorces stem from all sorts of causes. Unemployment is a result of unbalanced management. Environmental pollution results from foisting off an industry’s social responsibility onto nature. Disease is imbalance.

I am not an enemy to the Unification Church, the Cheon Shim Won, or Lee Ki-seong; rather I seek to call attention to a certain problem which is being overridden roughshod.

God has called me to our Church and to Korea for certain reasons, some of which are only dawning upon me now. One is that I bring the Christian standard, having been raised in an excellent Christian family of conscientious, public-minded people for at the very least fifteen generations. Unification Church needs the Christian faith and heart, as True Mother has frequently alluded to. Korea and the Unification Church are not yet fully ready to stand at the center of the world, lead the world in the right direction, and wisely administer it. That’s why I am conveying God’s and Father’s messages to the Holy Community of Heavenly Parent.

Speaking of Korea (I am a Korean citizen myself), there are still some problems. North and South are divided. Korea has to waffle between China and the West for economic and geopolitical reasons. Some structures have collapsed due to corruption of the building firms. Some young men have died under the strict discipline of the army. The motels are busy every night. Inflation is unbridled. Japan and Korea are still at loggerheads. Not everyone in the world can speak Korean. The suicide rate is one of the highest in the world. And the testimonies of the 2nd generation reflect severe problems, especially from the side of the man as the head of the family. Anyway, I love Korea!

Man. Men. Male. There is a problem right there. First of all, to take issue with this point right from the outset—in fact women are actually the ones in charge even in male-dominant societies like the Islamic world. In the Principle it says “The man is the subject and the woman is the object; male is internal representing sung-sang while woman is external representing hyung-sang.” Knowing the reality of people I see everywhere, that statement is quite laughable. I would say the opposite: Woman is more internal and is the de facto subject, while men are more external and in reality kowtow to their wives.

Again, what right have I “addressing power”? A motto of both Christians and the Left is “Speak to Power!” In truth, I have no right to. However, who will tell you what you most need to hear? Not those who admire you, but your critics. That’s why we ought to listen to the Cain-type people in their criticism of us. For they do not like us, and are quite ready to point out our faults and shortcomings, and they generally speak the truth in that regard. Our friends and supporters will likely tell us what we want to hear. Our enemies and detractors are not. Among these critics, the sharpest and smartest is Satan. Anyway, the kings of old always had advisers, prophets, and sometimes a Court Jester who would humorously make fun of the crown, ribbing him/her with jokes and plays in a clever satire or charade. But these days, we don’t have such an institution. Perhaps the press or TV documentaries play that role instead. How about our Church? Of course we know True Parents are flawless and perfect; we look up to them as the model and ideal. Yet Father himself even said, “You must become better than True Parents.” Hmmm….

So True Parents themselves are aware of certain lacking points, even in themselves. I have heard Father say, “I myself repent in prayer.” Also I have often seen how sensitive Rev. Lee Ki-seong is to the voice of God, Conscience, or perhaps some messages or complaints coming. He mentioned this just last night.

Now here is a situation that came up just today. Driving my small car to the Training Center, I drove to the end of the parking lot and found no spot to park my car. I turned up the next aisle, and found that a dead end too. There was no way out except under the veranda of tents being set up for the festival coming. It looked like a garage driveway, so I slowly and carefully passed through that way and found a parking spot beyond. I spent two hours at the CheonWon Chip, a beautiful Korean traditional house overlooking the lake. There I studied, drank tea, and meditated. Then I quietly left. But as I emerged from the parking lot, I saw a group of “Men In Black” with dark suits, ties, and sunglasses looking dubiously at me. I overheard them say, “That was the car.” I realize they were offended that I drove through their setup. I’d like to apologize, and at home I repented for my offense or trespass.

I continued to think about this incident. Somehow I felt it was serious. As I thought about it, I thought of when Jesus overturned the tables in the temple court. It was something like that. Jesus at that time said, “Have you not read how David ate the showbread which was forbidden?” (Matthew 12:3~8) It was indeed illegal according to the strict Sabbath laws; likewise Jesus Himself was accused for healing on the holy day.

The hypocrisy is glaring and absurd. David is the most precious, important, wise, and central king of United Israel! and they were hounding him about eating some bread from the temple? It shows where their heart was at. David is a figure of Jesus, and Jesus is called “The Son of David.” Such people we speak of in the Present Tense, as they are truly eternal. Jesus had done something similar—picking the leftover wheat sheaves in the field after harvest was over. It expressed His solidarity with the poor, women, and outcasts. Jesus’ whole Shimjeong is expressed in such a deed. Every act and word of His is holy and eternal.

What is my case? I’m God’s special gift to Korea. At great personal cost, not for personal gain, I gave up U.S. Citizenship—considered one of the most priceless treasures of all—t0 better attend True Parents and our Korean Church. So many Koreans would give anything to become an American citizen, yet I have done the opposite. It makes them feel strange, it doesn’t make sense, for it goes against the “flow of entropy”. I did an extremely unlikely and rare thing, one that some people who understand the Principle and the value of True Parents and the Cheon Il Guk would admire and praise—but never go so far as to do. That alone ranks as an act of absolute faith, love and obedience, for that is exactly what it is. I myself, when I happen across my “Certificate of Renunciation of U.S. Citizenship”, I feel sad; I don’t want to see it, as if it’s my greatest shame and mistake. But when I am high up there in faith and inspiration, close to God, then I realize its value. That’s the kind of person I am.

I am the Son of God. I’m not saying Jesus or True Parents. I’m not the “Only Begotten Son”. But I am the Messiah; I was born without original sin. Ask me how and why and I’ll tell you, and I’ll give any number of proofs. You can even ask Satan and he’ll testify on my behalf, because he is my friend and supporter. I’m surely the only person in the world who is One With Both God and Satan. We are holding hands warmly together. Do you know anyone else like that? Is Lee Ki-seong like that? No: that is one thing he will never say of himself. But he will gladly assert that I am “given over to Satan.” However, I am not given up by God nor have I forsworn My Heavenly Parent. I am in God’s Direct Dominion of Heart. Only such a foundation could enable this Cosmic Reconciliation.

So the officials who saw that I drove through their territory surely said, “Track that rascal down and find out who he is and where he’s going.” I smiled and bowed to them. I think I was indeed followed. They will see that I drove politely, greeted the security man, picked up water at the well, met Samonim, the wife of Dr. Jin Sung-bae there, and had a pleasant conversation, drove home, respecting other’s rights, parked at Azalea, and there I saw the “other car.” I lugged three heavy jugs of water over to the elevator, but didn’t go up—I held the elevator for them. But they never got out of their car. So finally I just went up to the tenth floor.

They’ll call their home base and say, “We know where the guy lives. But he’s perfectly normal. He must have just made a mistake, didn’t know what to do. He means no harm.” That’s correct: I mean absolutely no harm to anyone. As the Western brother stood up yesterday at the Midnight Prayer Vigil with the shirt that said, “HAVE NO ENEMIES”, that is my philosophy. I have no enemies. I just want us to be the best we can be, and that we can most closely correspond to what God our Heavenly Parent truly hopes for us—that we can truly build the real Kingdom of Heaven that God can be very pleased with.

[Endnote by W.Stoertz, author:] In short, the actual nature of the error relates to the Heaven-and-Earth Blessed Couple. In deploying their actual love relationship, there is a certain physical aspect. Sex in any case, if viewed heartlessly and in a disengaged manner, appears either grotesque or voluptuous. That’s why love in any married couple is a private matter, and not to be portrayed openly, explicitly, or publicly. Everything about sexual love is encompassed in the deep, personal realm of Heart (Shimjeong) in oneness with God. It cannot be evaluated nor criticized merely physically, outwardly, and objectively in a detached manner. If so, it becomes pornography. Now the love in the Heaven-and-Earth Union is of a similar nature. You may not understand it. For me, my Beloved in spirit world actually resides in my own body. That’s why I have to wear a bra and lingerie for her sake, at least part-time (“time-sharing”). I serve as the body for both of us. But, seeing me, you may conclude that I am gay. I’m not at all. People are always saying that about me behind my back. Even at a political rally, the party that I vote for was lambasting me openly and publicly, “That American guy who says he’s a woman—we don’t want that kind of character in our kind town of Seorak!” Happily, another person got up, a citizen, who defended me lavishly, praising my public service and citing the Human Rights Statute of the County of Gapyeong. In such a manner I and my honorable Blessing have been insulted by the public figures who I am voting for. In this respect, I am calling upon the honorable Rev. Lee Ki-seong to rescind his scathing judgments upon me and my family. William Stoertz, Citizen of the Republic of Korea.]
